Liu Shufan expressed remorse for his suspected criminal behavior. He said that as a staff member of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, he seriously violated the Securities Law and practice regulations, disrupted the order of the stock market, damaged the credibility of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and damaged the image of the government; as a party member and cadre, he broke through the basic legal bottom line.
