Meida enterprise technology center was established in 2001. In 2011, it was recognized as the national enterprise technology center and the first enterprise technology center recognized by the state in nylon 6 industry. The center has 300 R & D personnel and more than 20 senior talents such as doctors. The center integrates internal and external innovation resources, promotes the construction of enterprise technology innovation system, takes enterprises as the main body, market as the guidance, combines production, education and research, implements the construction of open innovation system, and organizes and uses social resources to serve enterprise technological innovation.
Since its identification, the center has undertaken 2 national key science and technology projects, 3 science and technology projects in Guangdong Province, 26 international, national and industrial standards formulated by the center, and 102 patents have been applied, including 60 invention patents and 42 utility model patents. In 2016, the center won the title of "national chemical fiber industry science and technology innovation platform".
