On the morning of October 24, 2018, the company held the opening meeting of the project "Research and Development of Polyamide Elastic Composite Fibers". At the meeting, Dr. Wu Rongliang from Donghua University gave an opening report for the project. He Zhuosheng, the company's deputy general manager, and Chen Xin, the director of the enterprise technology center, summarized the content of the opening report and put forward requirements and expectations to the project team members.
 
 
The project "Research and Development of Polyamide Elastic Composite Fibers" is a post-doctoral project introduced by Meida in 2017. The project develops polyamide elastic composite fiber through composite spinning technology, which has excellent performance and high cost performance, and has irreplaceable advantages in high-end fabric development and multi-style fabric design. Therefore, the development of polyamide composite elastic fibers has broad market prospects and can create good economic and social benefits for Meida.

The laboratory has established four research groups for basic research on the design and processing technology of new polyamide 6 fiber functional materials, new civilian polyamide 6 fiber functional materials, military special polyamide fiber functional fibers, and standardization of new polyamide 6 fiber functional materials.
